Location question

transI have the opportunity to live in a nice apartment with a friendly and loving aunt and a great job offer to boot in June, but there's a catch...
It's in rural North Carolina.
So, does anyone in this community know about the trans and lgbtq communities in North Carolina, or even western Virginia and northern South Carolina? What about therapists and doctors? I would be living 30 minutes from Charlotte, 1 and a half hours from Asheville, and 2-3 hours from the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area. You need a car to get anywhere out there, and I don't mind driving.
