transHey Everyone-
I just made a new video piece, and would love to get some feedback. I titled it "GID and Desire." I've always felt uncomfortable with the "transgender" identity being attributed to a persons desire to change (specifically as it is defined in terms of Gender Identity Disorder). Pretty much everyone wants to change something about themselves, and experiences feelings of inadequacy or self-hate. However, as a trans person, I feel these moments become my identity. In this video I tried to bring to light some of these issues surrounding GID that frustrate me. . . it's sort of hard to explain. . . just watch the video. : )
