May. 2nd, 2002 05:36 pmi've got a conference coming up. it's not work related, and i won't know a single soul there. i'm thinking of trying to pass.
now, i've lived my life constantly correcting people when they call me sir. i had no idea i was passing all this time...it used to just piss me off. it's been a trip not to correct anybody for a couple of months and just see if my voice gives me away. about half the time it does.
so, my question is this: how did you guys out there first start passing full time? and is it smart to give it a shot so far from home, familiarity? i'm going to a writer's camp of sorts, so there's sure to be all kinds of freaks attending...and the idea seems great to me now, but i'm wondering how smart/feasible (since my name will definitely be on a roster somewhere)/just plain ridiculous this plan is.
any advice?
