i'm cross-posting this, and i'm sorry.

i went to the YWCA today to get a pool schedule, adn they had a sign up for their upcoming swim-a-thon.
it said, "men, women, children, and people of all ages and genders welcome."
now, i'm in the small-city south, not san francisco.i had to read it about five times to make sure i wasn't making things up.
they've won my undying loyalty.

That's the link to my journal. It's up here - in this forum - because, well. I had a wonderful little run in with a 'devout' Christian. A quick little note - I'm a furry - some of you may have heard of what Furries are - We've had a lot of bad press. At any rate - I roleplay a very open minded kangaroo angel. But - I'm also transgender. I'm male - though I consider myself female. It's just..me. Anyways - I met this other fur on IRC - and this whole debate started when he stated that he had hoped I wasn't going to go through with the M 2 F operation - because such an operation was an 'abomination' in his eyes.

Not that all Christians are necessarily as ..well..intolerant as this person - but Gee..why is it a religion that teaches love and tolerance has people like the one I ran into today?

To those who are fragile emotionally or soft hearted - you may not want to go through the log posted on my journal - a lot of not so nice things are said by the Christian guy, IMO.

Also - you will have to go one post back - that is, don't read the immediate topmost post first - but the one before it. The post with the log of what happened is one post down - the first post is my commentary on the log itself. Please feel free to post comments if you have time. I'm feeling down right now. Hurting really badly...
