Sorry for the cross-posting here.

I need to switch from AndroGel to injectable T because I think my body is building up a resistance to the gel. Since I've always taken my T transdermally, I've never paid much attention to the discussions about injectable T, so please forgive my ignorance here.

Do I want cypionate or enanthate? All I remember hearing is that one causes more acne (bad news for me because I've had acne problems since middle school) and has slightly faster results. I would prefer to be on the other one, but I never remember which is which. Is one more likely to give me a bad reaction, or is there no way to know until I try it out?

How much should I ask for? 5mL? I have a $20 copay so the less I have to refill it, the better.

And what gauge needle? I have a very low pain threshold. I've heard 22 or 23 is good. Do you need to use one size (larger) to draw up the T because it's so thick, and then switch to a smaller needle to actually inject?

I won't be self-injecting, at least not for a while; a friend of mine has a mom who's a nurse, and I'm hoping she'll help me out. Otherwise I'll get another friend to do it.
