This is old news but I can't remember seeing it here.

Is anyone familiar with the case of Jesse Carr? For those who don't know he was arrested at a protest against the "School of the Americas", now the "Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation". After his arrest he was denied his testosterone injections for a month because of "bureaucratic problems".

This particular case was supposedly resolved a few days later.

Out of interest, does anyone know of any other cases where imprisoned TSs have had their hormone therapy delayed or denied?

Well, I've given it a week as so I don't do anything really dumb...

My mother raided my room a week ago and left a little blackmail note saying she wants 250$ every month, cleverly disguised as a "pay rent now" note. Keep in mind that's she's threatened to bill me 50$ a week for the shower, and 100$ for the car insurance... she's trying to get me to leave in a very rude manner.

I would have considered it... had she not gone through my room. No, now I don't know what's she has seen or read, and haven't even seen her since the sunday before. I'm totally desparate to leave, but I have a new job that I'm not through the propation period yet, so I'm really really stuck as to wether I move out now, and risk losing the job, or stay here and have that ill feeling of trouble.

To boot, the girl I felt really attracted to basically said that she doesn't like me "that way" because she sees me not as I see myself.

So I don't know what to do... so I have had a lot of things all hit the fan at once and don't know where to pick up the pieces. No I don't have anyone I could live with.

i'm curious to see how other folks feel about the HBIGDA's standards of care. i'm feeling very frustrated and angry about what i understand to be the transphobia built into the system. wondering if i'm crazy for feeling that way.
