scroll down to the section devoted to Venus. she's a local transgender artist here and she was just named one of the many artists of the year 2003 by one of the local free publications here called City Pages. she's also a friend of mine; i've known her and her bandmates for a few years, and the band, All the Pretty Horses, is one of my faves of all time.
