To start off, sorry cause this will probably be cross posted a few places: I'm not really all that original today and if I try to rewrite a different intro for each comm I'll possibly leave shit out.
I've been a part of a handful of ftm comms back in the day before an old relationship went sour. Though we both [ least I assume on her part ] loved each other, shit turned bad and we parted ways, but not before a number was done on my gender identity/views.
Now I'm with a different girl who assures me she's open to different gender I.D's etc. -small shrug- Sometimes I worry how strong that conviction will be when I have top and go on T. But that's a concern for a later date.
You guys can call me Nova, which is stolen from my cat Casanova in my icon. [ sorry boy ]. I'm 20, pre everything and currently residing in Syracuse NY [ moved here a month ago ].
I'm looking into a common law name change, simply because I don't have the 300 for a legal one right now. I'm also looking into local sexologists/therapists with sliding scales, since I believe you need the 3 month period before getting a T letter? [ Though I have to admit, sometimes in the back of my mind it's so tempting to get some type of gel or patch].
I pass a majority of the time, though once I open my mouth it usually goes out the window. I'm 5'3 and scrawny as all HELL. [ If any of you guys are good with gaining weight/ working out, could you drop me some tips? ] I mean, don't get me wrong: I work stocking at a pet supply store, slinging cans and bags from 20-55 lbs all day and that doesn't tire me out. But I am extremely skinny and just can't seem to put meat on my bones. :(
Alllso. Just curious, but how long did it take you guys to find a name that fit you? How many did you have to change thru ? I've gone by my current for over a year, but it was mostly just a choice of ANYTHING over my bio name, not really picking the name as a permanent one. ( Though I'm kinda torn over how people will deal with another switch)

Alright, that was all prolly random bs, but feel free to drop me a line, I'm always looking for friends.
Peace.

Anyone else watching this? I guess they are trying to be decent about us.. maybe the characters were written to represent what the public typically thinks? anyway.. so far some of the comments & dialogue is rubbing me the wrong way. They seem to like stereotypes.

My spouse and I have been thinking about moving in the next year or so, and we each have our preferences. But I would like to find some local info about the cities we're considering. I would like to know...

*What are the local TG communities like?
*Social groups? Support groups?
*Any LJ's or websites I could find out more from?
*What's the local TG club scene like?
*What are the places to go/see/do

The contenders:

Dallas
Houston
Atlanta
Chicago
Portland, OR

Whatever input you have is appreciated :)
