How should I handle previous (and current :/) employment when applying for professional-level jobs? I've not legally changed my name yet and I honestly don't know what is appropriate to put on my work experience.

If I list my name then prospective employers will be told I don't exist, by current and previous employers. If I list my old name I'm blatently drawing attention to myself.

I don't want that to be the first thing they notice and have them move on to the next resume, due to their assuming I will be too much for them to accommodate. Yes I want the world to change and for everyone to be openminded but I'm also trying to see this realistically.

thanks

Hey all. My name's Ashleigh and I'm going to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Junior year of high school, I felt comfortable with identifying myself as a transgenderist. I'm not intending to get any permenant operations to make myself male, but I do think and wish the majority of the time that I was born as a male. I just recently have been getting some different pieces of advice concerning my comfort; binding my chest, haircut, etc.

If anyone has any advice on this kind of thing, I'd love some.

Nice to be here.

Toodles and peace.

Okay, I just ran into someone in a lj community on transgenderism.. and it was my friend from middle/high school Andrea. I was like HOLY SHIT! But yeah, I've been talking to her and I think what her and I feel are like exactly the same and she has a much more comfortable and specific title that I am going to refer to as...

..I think I'm a genderqueer.

Toodles and peace!
