I have submitted my workshop proposal to Transcending Boundaries. Now, it's just waiting to hear back from them to see if they are interested and continuing to develop the presentation.

I feel so touched by the interest that has been generated in groups to which I have posted, the outpouring of support I have recieved and the willingness of others to share their experiences with me. I am greatful to those who have responded and I will use your input to strengthen the presentation. Thank you.

Doesn't roll off the tongue as nicely as "gaydar" does. Anyone know a better phrase for the idea?

Anyway, statistically speaking I know I must be encountering other trans people in public ocassionally, and have been trying to see if I could spot any lately. I think it's partly because I've started passing easily only really since the start of the summer (been on T for about a year now), so I find myself looking at other men and wondering if they're transguys too.

I just handed in an application at Barnes & Noble bookstore because I desperately need a job, and I think the guy I talked to was trans. He had a decent goatee going on, but he was shortish (about my hight, 5'6"), very high voice for a man (trans or not, he probably gets called "ma'am" on the phone a lot), no visible adam's apple, smallish hands, etc. I think he was checking me out too, but that might have just been from the potential-employer POV, not trying to figure out if I'm trans. But then I think he might know I'm trans, because I've been in there before and he knows a friend of mine who already works there.

And, while on the subject, I was channel surfing the other day and saw part of that weird new Discovery channel show, "Disgusting Jobs" or something, and the main guy was talking with an exterminator who looked like he might be trans. Thin, whispy goatee, very high voice again, etc.

So... yea. I wish there was some kind of code to use in public to try and discretely find out if someone was trans without coming across as creepy or risking getting punched.

I've seen this term a couple times but I have no idea what it means. Is it like a cross-dresser with multiple personality disorder? o_0 Google couldn't help me.

EDIT: I went back to look for an example and realized they were talking about multiple CDs, as in more than one. Well, that solves at least one reference. It's probably nothing.
