Hello again everybody!
Oct. 11th, 2005 06:54 pmIt's been a long, long time since I posted, so I thought I would give an update, a kind of 'Where am I?'.
I started on Spiro about 6 months ago now. Hormones I started about 2 months ago now. The psychiactric feedback from my two sessions was basically 'Yup, she's dysphoric. She's coping well, and seems willing and able to deal with the stresses of transition'. This was not a suprise to my GP, who knew that in about 10 minutes. But formalities have to be followed, so there it is. :)
The big one is that last week, we dropped a small amount of cash (like $400 total) on some clothes and such, and, well, I'm full-time now. Or as my mate says, I've 'gone pink'. :)
Below is a picture of me from a few days ago. I've had my ears pieced since then, and have about $400 more clothing on lay-by at Taking Shape, a clothing store that specialies in ladies of size. They had a fashion show of their new goods last week, with 20%% off everything in the store, even the already discounted stuff. Noone there seemed to even blink twice at me, so I must be doing passably well (Couldn't resist!) at passing. :)
There is a pair of jeans I have waiting that I simply cannot wait for. They feel soooo amazing!
The next clothes I need to invest in, I guess, are bras. I am actually showing a reasonable amount of growth, and am quite sore at times. A pregnant friend who has had her breasts start growing recommends sports bras to help with random bounce soreness, even with what is likely still a sub-a breast size. My mate and I are probably going to get some from here.
I am also hardcore job hunting right now, and doing so as a girl. This is my biggest fear, because as an immigrant here, I will have to show my passport to any and all people who want to employ me, and my picture there is very, very male. And there isn't much I can do about it... I've been thinking of at least getting a 'lost passport' replacement with a new picture without a terrorist-style beard. (Did I mention how much shaving /hurts/? Laser has helped /a lot/, but after three sessions I still need to shave pretty much daily, which is more than I ever did before when I could get away with a touch of visible facial hair. I can't wait to be able to pay for more treatments!)
Well, I guess that's where I am. Below is the pic, as promised, and I would love feedback on it! Once I get my new clothes, I will get some more pics up of me in much better clothes. :)
Hope you are all well and happy!
