Attached is my proposed first page of our new electronic version of TransParent. We have agreement from PFLAG National to forward this to all PFLAG Chapters and all TNET members (Sector Leaders, Regional Tcords, and Chapter Tcords) at no cost to PFLAG TNET.

Please review this introductory page and comment by this weekend. I would like to make it as strong as possible. Our potential savings in printing and bulk mailing costs approximate $1,800 to $2,000 per year.

Hello!

I'm looking for information on Dr Vivienne Cass, an Australian psychologist who managed to successfully outlaw the Real Life Test in Australia, having argued that it's Cruel and Unusual Punishment to make people go through with it.

Does anyone have any good links? I'm particularly interested in the case and the law that revokes it. I'm not sure it's the best idea to get rid of the RLT but I'd like to read the law anyhow and trying to find it is a pain (I know where to get UK laws but I can't find an Australian equivalent :( ).

If anyone can assist, I'd be most grateful.

Halo,
My name is Tunde. I am a student in the Art School at Washington University in St. Louis. I am currently working on a project that has quickly evolved into something entirely bigger than my initial idea and I would like your help on it. The project is to use text to extend the meaning of created images. We have to have three pieces. My idea was to create bathroom signs: one "boys" room, one "girls" room, and one "other", to create a social commentary on gender stereotypes. There would be all the stereotypical terms associated with women on the girls sign and so on, with the "other" sign being any type of person that breaks the mold. I was explaining my idea in class to a friend of mine who happens to be trans and he gave me all of these really informative websites to look at concerning the Bathroom Project and just the idea of "safe bathrooms" in general.

This is something that I was completely unaware of and none of my friends I've told about my project seem to have been either. So now I've changed the focus to making others aware of the lack of safe bathrooms. I don't know that this will really do anything, but I think people should at least know about it. So I'm creating an ncostic, which is basically a wax painting, but with lots of layers and for the text I would like to use real and individual opinions and experiences. If any of you would like to share your thoughts on the issue or any experiences that would be great. Anything I use will be anonymous. You can email me at Angelilier@gmail.com. Thanks so much.
