May. 19th, 2006 01:18 pmupon arriving to work this morning i was greeted with the morning paper and it was not in the jaws of a loving dog retrieving it for me it was my assistant with an article pointed to that acknowledged that the United States Senate has cleared the path for discrimination to be written into our constitution. the senate panel has passed the federal ban on same sex marriage to the floor for a vote on 5JUN06. that is only a couple weeks away. I know that not everyone reading this will see how this effects them but it does. what this represents to america is yet another step in tearing away our civil liberties, those basic rights provided to us by the drafters of our constitution. WE CANNOT LET THIS HAPPEN. the more we ignore what those in washington do the more they believe they can do what ever they want. AND THE LAST TIME I CHECKED THIS WAS STILL A GOVERNMEWNT THAT WAS FOR THE PEOPLE AND BY THE PEOPLE....AND AREN'T WE THE PEOPLE ALSO?
I CANNOT IN GOOD CONSCIENCE SIT BACK AND LET THE SELF-PROCLAIMED CHILDREN OF GOD WRITE DISCRIMINATION AND SUBJEGATION INTO OUR CONSTITUTION
