Doubts about the power of hormones

Lately I seem to have psyched myself into believing that hormones really don't do very much. I just feel crappy about my body and sure that it will never change enough to be passable.

I'm 20, mtf, but dammit, I have never once in my life passed for female.

Have others felt this too, and been proven wrong by hormones? Am I just being too hard on myself?

Gah, I wish there were more before/after pictures around...

I have a question for you. Do you think 7 months is long enough to be questioning your gender and starting to seriously consider transitioning?

Every wonder where all of those documentary proposals go after they get posted on LJ communities like this? A few months ago I made this post looking for interviewees for a video project. I had some trouble, and eventually did something much more autobiographical. So here it is. Just thought I'd share.
