Hello all! I'm 17 years old transgendered from Finland. I just thought to say hi.
Need advice for finding a friend
Oct. 29th, 2006 09:57 pmOk so I live a very lonely life where I have a few friends but don't really see them all that often. I need someone in my life who can understand what I'm going through. Ya know, like when you are dieting or something it's great to have a diet buddy where you can call each other when you're weak and give support to each other and whatnot.
But I suck at meeting people. I am really bad at making friends. I'm so shy and quiet. I dunno I don't see it happening.
So help me. I'd love to meet someone who's going through the same things I'm going through. Someone who maybe is looking for the same kinda friendship I'm looking for. I was thinking of trying craigs list but I'm so terrified of posting anything online and end up getting some psycho anti-trans murderer or stalker or something. But if I completely rely on real life things, well knowing me I'd never make the initiave of trying to be friends. I'd just sit around and expect someone to come to me.

Hi.
Apparently I'm going to be transferred from the Midwest to Boston, in early 2007. Just wondering hows the people/trans groups/etc are out there. I've been on Hormones for about a year, getting ready to transition at work, and I'm lucky to have a supportive partner. We'll most likely end up near Salem. (Work is near there). Anyone else out there? Any really nifty-cool-awesome places/resources that I should check out? Best/worst Endocs/Therapists/etc?
Thanks!
