So I have two questions for people here.

The first I know was answered in a previous post somewheres but I can't for the life of me find where it is ((I also just woke up so it could possibly be me not being observant)). Does anybody know of any groups that help transgendered individuals with the costs of transitioning? Preferrably in Canada if anyone knows, or just in general so that I know the idea exists and can head hunt here.

And for the second one.

Awhile ago, the Canadian government once helped transgendered individuals with the costs of transitioning. But like all things like that, Christian groups got all up in an uproar and consequently they stopped providing such things to us. SO. If I were to start a petition and get people locally and send it across the internet for other people, do you suppose there's a hope that with enough signatures they'll change that, or if not, get them to at least help me?

Thanks lol.

XPosted to Genderqueer in a slightly different form a couple weeks back

Y'know [profile] femme_ftm? Awesome community. But where's the converse? Where's the discussion relevant to people who identify as MtF or formerly-male genderqueer, or male-assigned bigendered who also have to deal with the fact that while a lot of people expect "not male" to mean "gender-normative feminine,"  we just... aren't. How does this affect things like going about in public, or passing, or not caring if we pass?

Well, how about going here?
(it's the user profile - read it before you go any further please)

Note that I said "relevant to people who identify as." All are welcome here no matter how they identify.

I hope that this will provide a sense of contact for people in what seems like a rare intersection of identities, as well as those who support us. Since this is likely going to be a small community, I hope that its members will remain active elsewhere, and so encourage crossposting as appropriate (subject to the guidelines of the other communities of course!)

So there's been some discussion on here about the HRC's Trans Day of Remembrance. I was just talking with Drew Phoenix, the pastor the HRC invited to speak at their D.C. TDOR. With all of the messed up things they were doing, he asked them to cancel the event, and they're going to. They'll be pointing people to the other D.C. TDOR instead (which they should have done anyway).

It looks like they'll still be having events in Houston, Phoenix, and Chicago, though.

If anyone is connected to the folks who were going to protest the HRC's TDOR in D.C., it'd be nice to give them a heads up that the event's been canceled.

You stood your ground when the world hated you. You lived proudly when others rallied to see you fall. You are our inspiration and our family. We remember you and your sacrifice by working and fighting to build a better world where no one will ever have to pay the same price again.

May you rest in peace.

Does anyone know of any communities for transmen who are neither butch nor femme, but still identify as 100 percent male? There was ftm_dandy, but it died.

Hi my name is Adam and I am straight male. This may sound odd, it does to me when I try to explain it at least. I am physically male and I think I am male most of the time, but I have periods when I feel female. Not that I have done something in a femminine way just that something in my mind has altered slightly and I am definately not male to the extent of being vaguely suprised when I notice my body again. I think these last only for several minutes, but I am not sure because I don't realise they happen until I come out of them.

Has anyone else here experienced something like this? Any advice would really be appreciated.
