Top surgery questions

Hey guys, my name's Nate. And I had a few questions regarding top surgeries. First off, what are the different techniques and what do they entail? I'm already thinking of a few surgeons but have no idea what the techniques are. I'm thinking of Dr. Melissa Johnson in Springfield, MA (Anyone have opinion on her?/her results?). If anyone has any other suggestions for surgeons, it'd be helpful. Also I know I'm going to need to take out a loan for this, any suggestions on where to or to links for loans?

Questions about a Surgeon

I was curious if anyone has ever been to Dr. Tuan A. Nguyen in Portland, OR. I am planning on getting an orchiectomy soon, and would prefer to stay in town if possible. tsroadmap.com lists him, but there are no reviews, nor could I bring any reviews up with google searches. So if you have experience with him or know someone who does, that would be awesome.

heterocentric medical questionaire

I am going to a gyn/pelvic reconstruction specialist for a consult on some gyn problems. They sent me a questionaire in the mail. Among the questions: Have you had sexual intercourse in the last month? Does your partner have any erectile dysfunction that is affecting your relationship?

Hello, heterocentric much? How do I answer as a non-penetrative partner with a transguy mate?

It really bothers me that this questionaire basically assumes that patients are in heterosexual relationships, or seeking heterosexual sex. Why can't they have a line that asks patient to describe their typical sexual practices? Or say sexual contact rather than sexual intercourse?

There HAS to be a way to better word medical questionaires like this, rather than requiring those of us who aren't hetero to use half-truths, explanations, or no-but/yes-but answers.

New to the Group

 I am new to this group. I am actually new Live journal. I am MtF pre-opt. I am a cat lover, my journal on line is related to my journey with my cat and my life as transgender. I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We have a province wide yahoo group, two groups that meet three times a month, and a social event-brunch at a local restaurant on one Sunday a month.
I have been a part of the group as well a moderator in the group meetings.
I currently have been struggling with being older and being accepted as a woman by others. I would love to find a male partner who accepts me for who I am.
I love to make friends and trying to help people out. I hope to build some good friends in this group.
