OK this isn't a poll but I wanted to ask about people who have had orchiectomies. Where did you have your surgeries. I've seen some post on here and on the MTF community about a specific doctor that some people would not go to. At any rate kinda same rules as the polls, please comment if you have had a surgery, not trying to limit this. I guess you can talk about the doctor you would like to go to and i know there are some people who have some surgeries planned in the near future. The idea of all these posts is to figure out which doctors are the most popular and also to find out names of doctors around the country.

Thanks

OK so let's not leave the guys out, but for you things are a bit more complicated surgery wise. Excuse my lack of knowledge on the matters, PLEASE. This poll will just ask whether you have had top or bottom surgery or both and then in the comments section you will have to write about the dcotor(s). This is because i don't know who does the majority of such operations, with transwomen surgeries there are like 10 that are prominent and it's pretty easy ( and there maybe the same with Transmen but i don't know who they are). Please note the poll isn't asking if you want to have surgery or don't plan to have surgeries, it's for people who have had surgery already, if you want to do a poll like that, make your own please.

I'm currently searching for a trans-friendly endocrinologist in the Greater Los Angeles /Orange County area. Ideally, visits to this endocrinologist would be covered under my Kaiser health insurance. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance for your responses.

i looked through the tags and couldn't seem to find anything.

i have heard that it is possible to get out of having to pay for chest surgery (or minimize the costs through insurance) by saying that you have back pain due to the size of your chest.

is this true?
and if so, is there a minimum size your chest needs to be in order to make this claim?

I'm just posting this wondering if anyone has any experience with the doctors in the mountain view, CA kaiser permanente center. I'm looking for a doctor who will be able to help me with the whole HRT thing since although I haven't started yet, somewhere about two years ago I got close (didn't have the money then unfortunately, and couldn't convince parents to help enough). I had one lead on a doctor in a clinic (was going to pay out-of-pocket) but unfortunately she's not accepting new patients right now. Anyhow I'm really just writing to ask if anyone knows a good doctor there, or perhaps another in the local area (though keep in mind I don't drive, so it'll have to be easy to take a bus/train to, but for this I am willing to commute whatever distance is necessary, obviously). x-posted to [livejournal.com profile] transgender and [livejournal.com profile] mtf
