Over the last month or two, I've been debating about subscribing to a some dating sites. I know, [eyes rolling], it might be lame and desperate, but I'm really trying to move forward. I'm curious to know what dating sites others have tried, and which are worth paying for that are trans-inclusive.

I have tried using some free dating sites, OkCupid and JustSayHi, but no results.

I did contact eHarmony some time ago about how they handles trans-people. I was formerly told in an email that I could not use their site until I had completed my transition; so I'm assuming that is their policy is no one who doesn't conform to the normal gender binary. (Doesn't make much sense to me though, and I think it excludes many in the trans-spectrum).

I myself am somewhat hesitant of subscription dating sites, and even free ones at that. But I feel it's time to start trying things that I haven't tried in order to get out more and meet new people.

Even if the sites are trans-inclusive, meaning allow trans-individuals, how do they handle the sexual orientation part? It's discouraging to see sites like eHarmony only catering to the normal gender binary heterosexuals. Which sites are trans-inclusive?

Also, has anyone actually had "success" of finding someone on one other of these paid sites? (And by success I don't mean one time hook-ups; I mean corresponding with someone, going out, and maintaining a relationship).

Transdestinations : A symposium and gathering for trans* and trans*-connected people.

Held over one day and two nights, Transdestinations surveys the current state of play and future possibilities for trans-connected communities. It includes forums, workshops, and arts events ranging from spoken word, music and performance to visual arts exhibitions.

The forum program begins on Sunday 27 January with Trans* Health and Wellbeing – a two-part discussion looking at issues of both health and culture. After a lunch break and some poetry and performances, the afternoon session - Living Politics - will kick off with a facilitated discussion about the legal and political realities of everyday trans*life before delving more deeply into issues around the law and legislation. The afternoon will also feature the Trans Sexuality Workshop, focusing on sex-positivity, issues around gender dysphoria, porn, and psychologically- safe sex.

All participants will then have the chance to share in a very special Tiwi Islands Gay & Sista Girls performance, included in the days ticket price.

The Transdestinations symposium and gathering runs in association with spoken-word event Tranzlezbian Gendermash (Sat 26 Jan at 10.15pm), ButchFemmeTrans Melbourne’s A Sunset Soiree cocktail party (Sun 27 Jan at 5.30pm), and genderqueer cabaret/party Upstart Alley (Sun 27 Jan at 9pm) to create a weekend of trans-positive discussion and entertainment.

This may seem like a slightly odd question, but I'm considering seeking an endo out to ask about the possibility of supplementing my testosterone level. I'm a year post-op, and although everything is sensate and works downstairs, I basically have no significant libido. This doesn't bother me overly - it's actually quite peaceful, but I think my wife would like me to show a bit more interest at times, and I do feel I'm missing out a bit.

So, my question to other post-ops: is anyone on testosterone supplements for this (or any other) reason? How do you find them? If they're just to take one up into the normal female range, do they cause problems with facial and body hair regrowth? Any other issues I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance...

Hi,

I'm considering ordering an Underworks binder. I'm trying to decide between the tri top & the double front. Is there any difference in the way they bind? Is one a better first binder? Are they long enough to wear like a wifebeater? And I looked at their how to size guide...I'm a 36C and they said to try a small...that seems a bit too small to me? Do you think that a small will be too small for me & cause breathing problems? I also have some back pain & was wondering if the binders would help by giving support or make me more uncomfortable?

Thanks everyone!
