Apr. 19th, 2009 07:51 pmHello all,
I'm writing a paper about transgendered individuals at women's colleges and I've come across a quote in one of the articles I'm reading which says, "The rewording of the student code does not represent Smith College policy," referring to the change of the student constitution, eliminating the words "she" and "her" and replacing them with "the student". My teacher was wondering what exactly the quote means that it does not represent Smith College policy, and I didn't really have a solid answer for her. So I was wondering if any of you attend Smith and have an answer to this question, or even if you don't attend Smith and know what exactly it means, that would be great too. Thanks so much!
