Anyone worried about their online privacy may want to look themselves up on http://www.spokeo.com/
It's a creepy directory that searches the internet for you with name, email, or phone number. It has links to your facebook, google stuff, and pandora, just to name a few. You get more information if you pay for it.
I looked up my mom and it gave me the value of her house and estimated credit score.
To take yourself off, look up your name, click the privacy link at the bottom of the page and for the profile url, use the url that is on the spokeo search.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation is giving this thought as well. Maybe they can get a bill passed that would prevent this from outing people.
