WETA-TV (Public Television station serving DC and parts of MD and VA) showed Dressed to Kill as their Saturday-night movie tonight ... and it's scheduled to be repeated tomorrow from 11:30 to 13:00 ... and I'm having trouble wrapping my head around their decision to air a trans-person-as-psycho-killer movie the night before and the day of the International Transgender Day of Remembrance. (Yes, I left feedback via their web site, and I phoned the station and left a voice message -- I don't know whether either of those gets checked over the weekend, or whether one person's complaint will be enough to get them to substitute a different movie tomorrow.) I tuned in thinking I was going to see the 1946 Sherlock Holmes movie of the same title, and got a rude surprise.

I'm not sure I really have a point here, except that venting my spleen at WETA still leaves my spleen feeling insufficiently vented. And that I'm still boggled by such a programming choice.
