Second Nature Wilderness Programs

My teenage son has a friend of a friend living in Boston who is beginning the male to female transition. When his parents found out about the transition, they quickly drove him down to Georgia to enroll him in the Second Nature Wilderness Program. They are in a hotel in Georgia right now, and he will be processed in tomorrow morning. Gabe is 16 years old.

Does Gabe have any rights to refuse treatment? Does he have any options? We would certainly open our home to him if it was that simple.
