Testosterone and periods

transJust wondering... for those of you on the FTM spectrum, how long did it take for your period to disappear after starting T?
In my case... I've been on T for 7 months. About 3 months in I got just a tiny little bit of spotting so I thought my period was going away, but then two months later I started getting regular periods again (about 4 days long 28 days apart).
I started getting acne around the same time my periods started up again so my gynecologist doesn't think that my T dosage is too low or my estrogen levels are too high, but I haven't had any blood work done recently.
He suggests that perhaps the hypothalamus in my brain is more receptive to estrogen than most, so it's just taking longer for it to sending the signals to my uterus. Sounds like he knows what he's talking about but yeah, even he seemed a little perturbed that I was still getting a period.
Prior to going on T I had really heavy 8 day periods, so my periods are definitely lighter than they used to be, but just wanted to check in and see what you lovely people have to say.
