Hair removal before phalloplasty

Hi,

I'm having a phalloplasty in early September.
Last week my surgeon told me that I should remove the hair from the arm by laser.

I called to couple of places performing laser hair removal and they told me that the whole procedure should take up to 6 month. Obviously, it's not the case for me now.

Is there any other way to remove the hair, or should I start the laser now, and continue it after the surgery (if ladies in the beauty salons will be willing to do it).
