LBG and Transgender Presentations

I'm presenting two sessions at the University of Chichester for social work students, one on LGB awareness and one on transgender awareness. I've got to fill 2.5 hours for each one. This is where I'm hoping you guys can help me. If you were sending a cis or straight friend to such a session, what would you like an awareness session to cover?
