Introductions: Stepping out from the shadows

Greetings,
I just wanted to drop a line to everyone here and introduce myself. I am a 23 year old MtF transgender and was searching for a place to come a just talk and maybe even just be there for others if needed. I have always been shy and am not usually one to seek out others for help (usually I am the one giving the help\aid\advice). However I know myself well enough to know when to take a step and seek support. This whole business has been something I have been keeping to myself for many years. I just reached a point where it was either let it tear me apart slowly until one day the depression and stress of not being able to be who I am killed me, or summon every bit of strength and courage I have and final be me. Needless to say I chose the second option. I hope to enjoy my time here, though I know it will not be all grassy meadows and gentle springs, and I do so look forward to speaking with each of you.
