hey everybody --

i'm doing a senior-year research project for my Psychology of Gender class at Illinois Wesleyan University... I need to interview three or four trans college students about their adolescent experiences, focusing on experiences in high school (involvement in a GSA or other support group, coming out as trans (if applicable), etc.). i'll be conducting the interviews over the phone -- i'd call you, and it'd take probably about half an hour. it's just five questions.

everything would be strictly confidential -- your names would never be used in the study, and all records of the interviews would be destroyed after i've turned in the report.

one of the requirements is that i fax or snail-mail you a confidentiality agreement that would need to be signed. if i mail it to you, i will include return postage so that you won't have to pay for anything.

the reason i'm doing this, moreso even than because it's for a class, is because i hope someday to become a counselor for transgender adolescents. from talking with friends of mine who are trans, there seems to be a shortage of capable therapists and counselors who actually know what they're talking about when it comes to trans issues, especially with teens. this study is very important to me, so any help would be appreciated.
