Jun. 23rd, 2004 05:18 pmUntamed beauty. I've just finished watching a movie called Untamed Heart, with Christian Slater, and must say that I've been crying now for the past twenty minutes. Such a beautiful movie, one which inspired me to write about the things which I find beautiful in myself, and in others.
I find beauty in the simpler things. In being able to tell someone you love them, and that you'll give them your heart, even if they don't give it back. In the turn of eyes, sparkling in the dim light, to catch the glance of another. The light glimmer upon your lips after the first sip of wine is taken. A ducking of the head upon receiving a compliment, staining your cheeks a pleasant sanguine. The warmth garnered from the lightest caress, to the comforting embrace of arms about your waist. The delicate hiss of flesh on flesh as you cross your legs in the opposite direction. A brief touch to your shoulder as someone slips past you in a crowd, as if seeking even the slightest excuse to gather a touch of you. A slight hint of a smile teasing lips of violet. The nibbling of the bottom lip when deep in thought. The turn of a cheek, carrying your profile across the density of a crowded room to a watching eye. Catching of a scent as someone leans in to leave a whisper at your ear lobe. The delicate brush of the tips of your own hair as it's brushed away from your lowered eyes. The faintest caress of darkened lashes as you close your eyes.
Just a few of the things which make me feel beautiful, and which I find beautiful. No matter which category of the transgendered community one defines themself in, no matter if they are even transgendered at all. One thing I've always believed is it is not the artist who creates beauty, yet the beauty which creates the artist.
Peace and blessings to all,
lil anna
