I just recived a reply from the Security Technical and Process Manager at Heathrow regarding the new see through clothes x-ray machine.

Thank you for your email. Perhaps the easiest way to assuage your concerns is to confirm that (a) No decision has been made to extend or expand the trial beyond the current end date of January 2005 and (b) If you do travel through Terminal Four, Heathrow, please bear in mind that passenger participation in the trial is on a voluntary basis only.
