I have recently open myself to the possibility of taking hormones to feminize my appearance, however I regret to say that I do not have nearly as much information as I'd like. While I have a very clear mental image of myself, I recognize that this will not be an overnight process and so I've set my first obtainable objective to androgyny, which would later evolve into actually appearing appropiately to my gender.

Part of what frightens me about hormones are the cognitive effects that they may induce as well as the cost of treatment. Spiritually, I am comfortable with my gender, my only hope is to bring my physical appearance closer to alignment. Balance is extremely important, so I ask if anyone here has experienced hormone induced obcession, or feelings of actually losing control of their gender identity? Also, how much can people expect to pay for this kind of treatment, and where do they go to find injections? At present, these are preferable to taking pills.

The last thing I'm curious about is what physical difference people saw and how rappidly they occured after starting treatment. It's often that people talk about growth of their breasts and sensitivity of their nipples, but I'm more interested in things such as the slowing growth of body hair, skin texture, and fatty tissue developing in other parts of the body.

Thanks in advance for the help! Take care,
Justine
