I think my breasts have stopped growing. They aren't tingling like they used to and they're still only about an inch across (the hard part, of course). I'm guessing the reason for this is that I'm now only on 4mg estradiol. I was self-medicating with 6mg (I ramped up, with only one month on 6mg) but I ran out of money and I was off hormones for a month. I got back on hormones, this time prescribed, and the doctor would only give me 4mg. I'm probably by far his youngest trans patient -- this time when I went to the doctor, the nurse was looking at my report and said "wow, you're only 20" (I hope this doesn't mean I look old ^_^) -- so maybe he's just used to dealing with older women's bodies. I think my body should do just fine on 6mg, the doctor says that I should just be patient because it's a slow process. I know it is but I need to make sure that I'm moving forward in this process.


Also, I was self-medicating with estradiol valerate (Progynova) but I got prescribed plain-old estradiol (ev isn't available in pill form in the US). Would this make a difference? The doctor suggested that maybe injections would make me feel better but, aside from a fear of needles (especially injecting myself *shiver*), I'm worried about the emotional distress of cycling. I know GGs have to deal with that but it's not a fun thing for them either. Would it make a difference in terms of feminization?

I know I'm supposed to be patient, and I'm trying to be, it's just that I'm getting my name and gender changed soon (I got the letter) and so I definitely need to pass. I guess I pass well enough to not elicit too many stares but it's hard.

I think my face is not as happy as it used to be, I think I'm getting more razor burn and more noticeable shadow than I had a couple months ago. Maybe I'm just more paranoid now that I'm never in "boy mode" and I have to pass.

Any hints? Should I change my hormone dosages?
