What do I need to stop putting off?

I need to stop putting off my research/thesis paper for English that is over due. And why am I putting it off, you may ask? Because it's on gender. And I really just can't handle writing my paper right now if I'm not secure enough in my own gender. I am having so many mixed feelings that it's really difficult for me to write. A few months ago I chose a topic that meant something to me. But now it seems as though it's TOO close to home for me.
