So I went on my first Job Interview in months today... And to top it off, I went as a girl. Let me tell you, today was soooo scarey. I only had about 5 hours notice of the interview, and had nothing ready. So we had to get an interview outfit, accessories, shoes... Lots and lots of things.

First we did shoes, going to a store that stocks some bigger sizes. It was still rough, and the end result doesn't REALLY fit well, but worked for today. They have a good exchange policy, so we will try to get it in a wider size. Other than that, I love them. :)

Next we went next door and picked up the things we put on layby a few weeks back. We decided we didn't like the jacket we'd picked out after all, so picked out a different one. Well, that one didn't go at all with the skirt, so we picked out another skirt, too. All in all, we ended up with an extra skirt over what we had waiting, but they handled returning the unliked jacket well. And I have the best, most wonderful jeans ever. I've been eager for them since I tried them on!

After that, we went and bought a necklace and earrings. We were in the store about 5 minutes in total and totally fell in love with them. So, score there!

Next we made an appointment for a makeup session. The girl there looked a bit confused at first, but didn't make any comments or anything.
We had a half hour wait, so we went and got some knee-high stockings (Which ended up not being knee-high enough for my fat legs. "One size fits all"... Except me. :> ), then stopped by the David Jones bra section. A nice elderly lady there did her best to find a bra for me, but couldn't. Mainstream places just don't stock big band, small cup bras, alas. But she was very, very nice, and if she knew I was TS, she didn't even hint.

Back out then to get my face done, and the girl was amazing. We only wanted enough to soften me up a bit, and she did a wonderful job. And as a bonus, did it for free instead of charging the $60 it should cost. Score! They offer lessons there on learning to put on makeup, I will likely go back for them.

From there, it was lunch then home to get ready! As I mentioned, the stockings didn't work out and the shoes are a bit small, but everything else looks amazing. Here's two shots of me, one showing everything, one a closeup of my jewelry.

The interview itself went really well. The position is for a network engineer, and they want someone with Cisco and Microsoft qualifications... Of which I only have the Cisco. But he was really cool about that, and when we talked salary he said that chances are if they hire me they will give a slightly lower salary than what the position is slated for, but toss in training and certification with MS, which all their tech employees HAVE to have for them to keep their MS licensing. Still, the end salary is right what I was hoping for, so score!

Over the course of things came the usual questions of where I live, how I came to Australia, and so on and so forth. Me, being the subtle person I am, ended up making it plainly obvious that I was in a relationship with another girl. He found this fascinating and we talked for a bit on this. It turns out his wife is a human rights lawyer, and they are very much supportive of alternative lifestyle rights. I didn't fully admit to being TS, yet, but I don't think that it will be a problem in any way, and in fact, I think being a lesbian couple" is helping my chances a lot. :)

I should know next Tuesday what the results are, so keep your fingers crossed!

And, lastly, when I came out my lovely and wonderful wife had a suprise for me. Her favorite "big girl's" shop is literally right around the corner from where I was, and they cater to special size needs for women's bra's... So she bought me one! Yay! And it fits really well and I am really happy!!! Here, have a pic. :)

So that was my day! Now we go to get the kids, and maybe stop in to see Rosie's father, cause he needs to see me in more girly stuff to get used to it. He's coping, but only just... :)

Be well everyone!
