4- 5:30p Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition Transgender Town Hall Meeting
Open to everyone. This a free event for transgender and allied communities to network, give feedback, share resources and get updates on the work of MTPC local, state, and national policy efforts. We will be talking about moving forward on a state-wide non-discrimination law for gender identity and gender expression. Members of MTPC will present. No photographs/video/audio recording will be permitted with out approval of MTPC.
7- 9:30p Boston’s Transgender Day of Remembrance Gathering
On Sunday, November 20th the international transgender community will
Gather at over 75 locations in at least 6 countries to mourn and remember our victims of violence and hatred. In Boston, that gathering will be held at the Community Church on 565 Boylston Street starting at 7PM.
An evening to come together to reflect, speak out and mourn the loss of those killed by hate violence. Speakers will include poets, activists, and community members. There will be a community speak out and candlelight vigil during the event. Light refreshments are being provided.
Community sponsors include: Massachusetts Transgender Political
Coalition, BAGLY, Gender Education and Media, GLAD, Fenway Community Health Center, The GLBT Health Access Project, a program of JRI Health, Tiffany Club of New England, and TransCEND (Transgender Care & Education While Negotiating Diversity), a new program of Cambridge Cares About AIDS.
