Jun. 30th, 2006 11:45 amHi all, I'm here to plug a trans support group I'm helping to start up this fall in the Boston area. Boston Area Trans Support (BATS) is a peer-run support group for young college-age and twentysomething transgender people in the Boston, Massachusetts area. It is inclusive of those who identify as transgender or who are questioning their gender, from MTF to FTM to genderqueer to whatever other gender description you prefer. It is for those who are seeking others of similar age for support in realization of one's gender identity, help with coming-out, transition concerns, and anything else that members wish to bring up. BATS is an LGBTIQ friendly safe space, with confidentiality respected among members. For more information please email Abigail at afran@mit.edu You may also join BATS' Yahoo discussion/email list at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/boston-area-trans-support
