Anyone speak French?

I'm currently corresponding with someone in Paris who is questioning FTM. My primary concern, as always, is that this person be corresponding with more than just me and be able to get as many perspectives as possible. My French is essentially nonexistent and I'm using my knowledge of Spanish and http://www.freetranslation.com/ to help, and it's not going terribly well. Does anyone with a decent command of French want to talk to this person? laracroft2687@hotmail.fr is the e-mail address.

Also, does anyone know of any French-speaking resources online? The closest I can think of is transcanada, which is better than nothing but obviously not ideal, and I have no idea how many folks on there speak French.
