WOW, Go Me!!!
Jan. 31st, 2007 09:51 amThought I'd share this with everyone :)
So, here's the deal... I've been avoiding talking to these people from the Art Institute of New York for like 2 weeks now, figuring they are just trying to sell me online courses or whatever right?
Then, last night they call me and I say to myself, "Hell, if they're going to keep calling, I'll see what they've got to say... If they suck, I'll tell 'em to fuck off" LOL
So, I talk to this girl, Tanya, and she tells me that my application was accepted and my essay was voted #1... so, now I'm scratching my head and trying to think what the heck she could be talking about...
Then it hit me, I had applied for a scholarship some 6 or so months ago that required me to write an essay and mail it in... I friggin' won a 2 year scholarship!!! Holy Crap!!!
So, after a few minutes of silent pondering, she asks if I am still there... I tell her yes, and she continues to set up a date where I can talk to a guidance counselor and all that, I have to pass an interview to get into the school... (weird?) I asked a ton of questions...
One of the biggest potential problems that I face now is, I have to go to school in the city, which means a hell of a commute to school, or moving to the city....
I am soooooo stoked that I will finally be going back to school for something I've wanted to do since I was a kid....
Wow, the reality of it is still sinking in...
