In a little over three weeks I am leaving for school. I am going to be living in the dorms so I am a little nervous about my fellow dorm mates and their personal views concerning transsexualism. There seems to be a lot of reports recently about Hate crimes being inflicted in small towns like the one I am headed too. I am a little afraid that my grooming and unique fashion might cause some problems.

Does anyone have any personal experiences about how to deal with college and dorm life? I am also not sure how my interactions with the school board are going to go. =/

Anyone know of any sites or inexpensive (but not pop science) novels on opinions (based on facts, not weird rumors) of non-transsexual/transgendered people ABOUT transgendered people? I'd like to know what 'the norms' think about us transgendered folk...but the more intellegent ones. I know what the ignorant think.
