Hello just wanted to introduce myself as well. My name is Lara. I'm 19 and and fully plan on transitioning sometime in the next few years. I'm out to my parents and I regularly attend a GLBT Centre at a local University. I'm pretty much a girly girl as well, can't help I love pink and cute clothes and frilly things. I'm also a lesbian since my primary attraction is still to females. Anyways just thought I'd say hello.

Sorry for the cross-post.

So here's the $64,000 question. If you're in downtown San Francisco, have not been to California before, and have no car and limited funds, and you have one day to do the tourist bit ... what do you do?

All suggestions welcome, although I should mention that I have no interest in bars or clubs.

I am proud to say that, more than even my regular counselor, Meral Crane, who runs the Gender Program in Columbus, is my hero. She has done so much for trans-people. She is the most giving, kind, understanding person that I know.

I think that every community is different, and it will take a long time for us all to begin to really be patient with one another. Even though I work with several TS women, i am not married, and there are definitely some boundaries put up toward me (or that I feel). It is silly for me to think that it would be appropriate to talk about trans-issues at work, but in time, maybe I can be more open with them.
