Some gender thoughts
Dec. 28th, 2003 04:27 pmI am proud to say that, more than even my regular counselor, Meral Crane, who runs the Gender Program in Columbus, is my hero. She has done so much for trans-people. She is the most giving, kind, understanding person that I know.
I think that every community is different, and it will take a long time for us all to begin to really be patient with one another. Even though I work with several TS women, i am not married, and there are definitely some boundaries put up toward me (or that I feel). It is silly for me to think that it would be appropriate to talk about trans-issues at work, but in time, maybe I can be more open with them.
