I watched a special on Discovery Health called "Transgendered Teens" yesterday.

I had recorded it from it's previous airing. But did anybody else see it?

It was so ridiculous that I just wanted to throw stuff at the TV. It focused on two girls. One was 18 living at home and supportive by her family. The other was rejected by her family and now living as a prostitute on Santa Monica Blvd. in Los Angeles. As the show started, it introduced each girl (yes... mtf) equally, but as the show progressed it mainly overwhelmingly portrayed the girl living on the streets in Los Angeles. It went into her entire lifestyle as a prostitute and THEN some. The LA girl happened to be trans, but it didn't expand on the trans element of her at all. Dood!! The special should have been about prostitutes NOT transgenderism judging by how much they talked about it. I almost felt sorry for the girl living at home because she was such a shy homely girl and here she was being featured on a program that was giving a really bad name to transgendered teens. After having a huge amount of airtime about being a hooker, it would then cut back to the shy girl and feature her for about 3 minutes then go back to talking about prostituting. It was just BAD and kind of made me feel sick because in some sort of fashion down the road... that show reflects on me. Bottom line to me is that if you are going to do a show on transgenders, please let it be about transgenders and not about life as a prostitute.

Does anyone else have this facial hair problem?

I can't shave any sooner than every other day, sometimes every three days without severely messing up my face with cuts and severe razor burn. I've tried multiple types of shaving cremes, gels, and lotions, and most of them make my lips break out into cold sores. I get severe razor burn even from electric razors, and so I use them only on rare occasion. My facial hair grows in about 6 unique directions so I have to shave up, down, sideways both directions, and at multiple angles to get a close shave. Usually takes me about an hour to get a close shave. And given how my hair has to be longer in order to be shaveable without ripping up my face or cutting it up severely, this is a real problem. Help??

On another note, [livejournal.com profile] girlabomination had been asking about some of the differences in sensation and day to day life with M2F SRS, and she piqued my curiosity on something I haven't seen commented on. The genitals on genetic girls actuall can get very hot during arousal and sex, to the point where it can be felt several inches from the body. What about with M2Fs post SRS? Is there anything unique that causes this phenomenon that would make it impossible for SRS folk to do the same thing? Or is it something simply based on physical structure? Enquiring minds want to know! ^^

i'm posting because i'm considering cosmetic surgery... possibly either facial or body contouring or both. does anyone have any thoughts? pros/cons?

does the fact that i would like such surgery make me vain? or shallow? i have my consultation in two weeks, so i have a little time to consider it.

hm.... waiting to hear what'cha'll think.
