Nov. 28th, 2005 08:52 pmHello,
I am a first time poster and I had a few questions. I am doing a research paper about the civil status (male or female) of transsexuals, transgender and intersex people. I have had trouble finding writings that are relevant to my topic as most writings tend to focus on social and medical aspects. I am interested in the legal process of changing one's sex and how if is interdependent on the medical procedure. Any help would be much appreciated. If any of you know books, websites, or any other form of information that might answer any of my questions, please let me know.
If my questions are in any way irrelevant, please guide me to the right community.
Thank You!

Nov. 28th, 2005 11:47 pmAs far as I know, my roommate does not know I am trans (i.e. I am "stealth" to her). I've lived 7 different places (plus my girlfriend's) since I got kicked out of my parents' in April. Three of the people I knew prior to transition and two of the people I told up-front. My last roommate I told after a few days after I moved in so we could get to know each other. She says that she did not know that I had been born male until I told her (and she did seem genuinely suprised when I did tell her). So this time (two months later), I'm seeing if I can get away with simply not telling her.
