Birth Certificates....

Does anyone know what the rules in Minnesota for a gender change on Birth Certificates? I've heard offhand that Minnesota is pretty "good" about it, but nobody who I have talked to has mentioned specifics. Do you need SRS, a doctor's letter? etc.

Please delete this if it isn't appropriate. I'm in a bit of a bind--my semi-famous interviewee flaked out on me last minute and I am supposed to have this done by midnight tonight. It's for a zine--a final project--and I was supposed to either A) interview a "famous" local activist or B)interview (by email or in person) several students, professors, and/or laypeople interested in the intersection between gender and sexuality. If any of you could answer these questions and either reply on here, or email your answers to calculatedeccentricity@yahoo.com, however in depth or brief they may be, I will be forever grateful. I will format and neither take out of context nor edit unless you give me specific directions to do so.
