I'm thinking of changing my legal first and middle names to just initials, which are the same for my given name and chosen name (on purpose).  Has anyone else done this?  Like it, regretted it, any other thoughts on this?  Would there be any legal ramifications (in the states)?

Edited to clarify- I wouldn't be using a letter as a name, just as an identifier for legal purposes.  it would go like this: "Hi, nice to meet you, my name is Ryan."  And when I show state ID, use my bank card, have a passport, etc etc, it would just say "R [lastname]".

I think this is the first time i have posted here.
I am searching for a doctor/therapist to begin my transition. I am located Austin TX and was looking for advice on the best places to go to begin HRT.
