QUESTION FOR ALL MtF POST-OP OR FRIENDS WITH

I just found one Dr. Reed in Miami, FL. I'm researching him, and the pictures look amazing, and so real, but it's $13,500 which is amazingly cheap. I'm trying to find if this guy is the real deal, or if he's a hack job. PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!!!! If anybody knows about him. I'm rediculously poor, and to find someone this cheap, well it sounds too good to be true. Please e-mail at jaden.phairchyld@yahoo.com I don't check this very often sadly. Passports

So, another question. How has it been to get passports for those of you that have went out of state? i know that there are diff. laws in diff. states, but just the general adventure *or lack there of* that anyone has been through. I've been looking at Suporn for sometime *too bad Reed's has such a horrible rep.* and I'm turning my eyes back to him. I'm not sure how to go about the passport deal though. Before or after name change? While still living under the radar for several circumstances? After going full time? Not sure what would work best. Stories & suggestions would be great. ^^

The second is an analysis of the "Trans Panic Defense" by Dr. Jillian T. Weiss, and is too long to post here. However, I strongly suggest reading it.

The third is a recent post by Helen G at Bird of Paradox linking to a story at the Greeley Tribune with this information:

Deputy District Attorney Brandi Lynn Nieto told the jury that Andrade knew for 36 hours Angie was biologically male. He even attended a court hearing for a traffic ticket where clerks called for the case against “Justin Zapata.”

It's hard to talk about how cis people justify killing trans women without acknowledging information like the above. Especially point 3 in Holly's comment above: The victims are dead and cannot tell their side of the story.
