I was watching Free Speech TV a couple days ago and they had a short interview with a young transboy-of-color called "Saul Speaks" (I think). One of the things he was talking about was the lack of groups for trans people of color, even in the queer-people-of-color organizations. Googling seems to find several organizations, however. I have noticed a lack of color in quite a few left-wing / progressive / gay-rights organizations and I can certainly understand his frustration, especially of the lack of representation of transmen-of-color since transmen seem to often be underrepresented in more traditionally-organized groups and clubs.

What have been your experiences with race in the trans community? Is it a problem? If it is, how can we encourage more people-of-color to organize?
