Jul. 7th, 2005 05:03 pmhi, my name is Lorelei and i just joined. i am about to post a few questions so i can make an informed opinion and stop feeling ignorant when it comes up in conversation.
do any of you feel that there is a difference between Gender Identity Disorder and being transgendered? why or why not? or what characteristics seem to separate them?
if any of you take psychology or are therapists or what have you, or just happen to know what the mental health community thinks, is Gender Identity Disorder considered interchangable with transgendered, and does it have a negative, positive, or neutral connotation?
thanks in advance, if you answer. i'm really looking forward to any opinions, responses, and/or experiences. :)
