I was looking on gender.org for a support group, I thought I found one but when I emailed the people in charge their email addresses weren't active anymore. Does anyone know of another website that has links to Louisville friendly TG places?

I swiped this from max_bialystock, who swiped it from stacymtf. It's getting passed around.

This actually helped me articulate some things and figure myself out better. Good questions. Comment freely or ask anything. I decided last summer to be honest about this, and don't see a reason to stop now...

EDIT: And I'm really new at LIveJournal. I'd cut this, but don't know how.

I've called every gender-specializing psychologist in the area (that I know of), and nobody takes my insurance.

Does anyone know,

A) Someone in the Philly area who does take insurance
B) How to get an out-of-network provider covered anyway

One person I talked to said that if my insurance doesn't cover anyone with the specialty I'm looking for, I can appeal to the insurance to try to get them to cover me for a specialist. But do I need a diagnosis for this? Won't asking for a gender specialist set off the "TRANS!" alarm at the insurance company?
Have any of you folks done this before?

Warning: I'm blunt. Commenting to inform me of this is rather a waste of time.

I honestly think this meme is really stupid, and the questions bother me a lot, but sitting by silently doesn't educate anyone, so here's my two cents. (I also want to see more Transmasculine activity on here, and complaining about how no Transmasculine people talk and then being silent myself is ridiculous.)

Mine ended up even longer than hers.... )

Discussion as always is welcome. What do people think a gender counseller would make of these answers?
