Is it enforceably illegal to enter and use the 'wrong' public toilets, or is it merely frowned upon?

In the case of those who do not fall into a clear-cut category (specifically, one of the main two), what course of action is conventionally taken?

(Concerns partly stem from the thought experiment 'What would be done if large groups of people in one clear-cut category began using the facilities of those in the other clear-cut category and so doing caused those people trouble?'. Even though laws about public toilets have not been heard of, it seems unlikely that there would be no restraining force in such a situation, which would imply that there is a law or other force present that I should learn about rather than remaining in ignorance.)

Balance

Having a balance about the masculine and feminine came easy for me. THough I'm comfortable in both, I prefer the feminine. Having balance helped me grow in my new identity.

I started out as a crossdresser. As time progressed, I realized that my feelings ran deeper than clothes. Then last June I migrated to transgenderist. It was a huge step in my journey. I've never been happier.

If you could decide, on a day by day basis, to wake up with either a conventionally male body, or a conventionally female body, or any combination of gendered attributes, and it would last for the day, and then you could make a fresh choice tomorrow, would you take advantage of this on a regular basis, or just use it once to transition, or what?

And why?

For me, I think I'd spend a lot of time as my birth assigned sex - male, simply because it seems that on those days where I don't care, society seems easier to navigate as male. If I started to experience dysphoria, or need to attend some sort of formal situation, I'd switch back in an instant. I do wonder if I'm unusual for thinking I'd spend a lot of time as my birth assigned sex though, and am curious to know if other trans people feel similarly?

I wanted make you all aware of a transphobic caption in this month's rolling stone, a magazine which i read each month. There was a photo of Justin Timberlake in drag at the Hasty Pudding Awards, and said "justin timberlake is bringing Tranny back". They will be receiving a letter from my girlfriend, who is a subscriber. I urge anyone who feels the same to do so.
